Why Healio exists
Good care should not fail because costs are hard to understand.
Frank Steinfurt founded Healio because many people pay for healthcare services themselves or postpone them, even though statutory insurance bonuses and supplementary insurance may create financial room.
The problem is rarely a lack of choice. It is a lack of orientation: plans, bonus rules and eligibility requirements interact and are often not explained in a way that makes confident decisions easy.
That is why Healio combines independent insurance advice with a partner network in healthcare. Practices can provide neutral information; assessment, advice and insurance intermediation remain with Healio.
The goal is not more insurance, but a solution people understand and can use in everyday life.
How we work
Clarity starts before a policy is taken out.
We do not measure good advice by the number of products. We measure it by whether a decision is suitable and remains easy to understand.

Make at least one area of cover financeable through a statutory health insurance bonus.
We help people fund the premium for at least one area – outpatient, dental or hospital – as far as possible through their statutory health insurance bonus. We assess individually which protection genuinely fits.
